Help for Groups

  1. What is a 'Group' at educatorslog.in?

A Group is a user-created and user-managed sub-community of users created using the Groups service. A user may create a private group for a school, college, organization, parents united by schools or classes their children go to, or simple people united by a common cause or interest within the broad issue of education. If you find a group you would like to join, depending on the type of group it is, you may either join with a click or contact the moderator of the group. Creating and joining a private group allows you to engage in conversations (through elogs) that are specifically relevant to members of that group. Educatorslog.in settings allow you to decide whether groups's elogs should be visible to the larger educatorslog.in community.

  2. How do I create a 'Group'?

Moderated Group- An educatorslog.in user requires the approval of the Group Moderator to join. Group content is visible to the entire educatorslog.in community.

Private Group- An educatorslog.in user may join only if explicitly invited by the Group Moderator. Group content is visible only to members of the Group. This is ideal for schools (or other educational institutions), or departments with the institution, or classes within institutions, to have conversations and discussions that are private to them. Parents of children in the same school or same class can also form such a group to have a common platform for discussions.
