Visit to Delhi May 20-28

Hellow everyone,

I founded India School Fund (ISF) www.indiaschoolfund.org in 2005 with other Harvard students and since then, we built a school building that will provide primary education and train teachers of surrounding villages in UP. I will be in Delhi and Gurgaon next week (May 20-28) and would love to meet any educational experts or other passionate people about educuation. read more

An interesting question...Please help!

I have mentioned the India Schoolhouse Fund - a social enterprise that was born out of an India study tour of Harvard Business School students - and  their work setting up a school in rural U.P. I have worked briefly with one of the principals on this project on the design of contextually appropriate curriculum.

RIVER model of primary education

It is heartening to read that Padmanabha Rao and Rama Rao of the Rishi Valley Institute for Educational Resources were finalists for the Social Entrepreneurship award in India for 2006. The mulit-level multi-grade (MGML) "School in a Box" kit seems to have met with much success not only in India's villages in several states, but in other developing nations as well. read more
